Mention religion in India, and the first thought may not be Christianity, but its influence in Chennai is visible through the soaring steeples and elegant stained glass of its churches.  And embedded in each one of these buildings is a different story about Christianity in Chennai, influenced by those who brought it here - St Thomas, the English, the Portugese, the Armenians, and the Scottish.
