To a casual onlooker there are two Indias. The north and the south. But look deeper and each region and each community within the south comes with a very distinct history, culture and way of life.

This trail takes our guests to Dakshinachitra, a place considered to be one of the more beautiful showcases of South Indian Heritage. But rather than letting it be a passive walk through the campus, our storytellers attempt to bring alive the regional heritage houses that are on display, with creatively woven stories from local folklore and mythology.

And folk arts, sample of the local cuisine, and specially organised performances make this a fun-filled journey through the southern states.

For larger groups this trail is fashioned as a day long outing, but many typically opt for an abridged version of this trail combined with the Coromandel Route tour to make a day long outing.
